Barn Find

Located this truck several months ago. Have not decided whether to try and obtain or let it go. It may be too much work at this time. Body looks to be in fair shape. Have no idea what the status is of the engine or transmission. Do know that whole brake system will have to be replaced and that alone will run around $1000 just for parts. Animal Shelters

The best way to find a shelter is to use your favorite search engine. I usually type in [ animal shelters columbia sc ] and most, if not all are listed. However I urge you to check the County/City shelters first. A lot of Goobers do not make it out of these shelters. Also make sure you have the staff detail the " adoption costs" before you begin your visit. I have talked to individuals who started looking at Goobers only to leave upset and empty handed after finding out about the requirements and $costs to adopt. My understanding is that there is a new shelter going up in the Harbison area off Bower Parkway.

Welcome to Ho Hum Hollow

For past several years have hosted a reunion on the first Saturday in May for current and former employees of what was known as Juvenile Corrections, then Youth Services and now Juvenile Justice. The reunion has run its course with attendance and my health, so I am shutting it down.

Hopefully for the next few years will concentrate on finishing restoration on Goober's and Scooby's trucks.

Also have decided to embark on a program with Goober to actively promote the rescue of dogs from shelters.
